What is the quality of 3D prints?
I strive to provide top quality prints every time. However, it is the nature of 3d prints that imperfections happen! That's what makes each box unique! I evaluate every box that gets made and if any imperfections are too noticeable or too large, that part gets remade. Some small imperfections will make it to the customer. From time to time, "blemish boxes" are made available. These are the boxes that printed with these imperfections and are available at a discount.
PLA, PLA Silk, PETG...what's the difference?
PLA is strong and rigid but vulnerable to heat and can warp/curl.
PLA Silk is the same as above with a glossy or shiny appearance. Small imperfections tend to show up more on this shiny filament.
PLA+ is slightly more impact resistant, slightly stronger, and slightly more flexible.
PETG is tough and somewhat heat resistant. It holds its shape better under stress. PETG can look a bit "rougher" than PLA. Some prints have small strands of "hair" or very small imperfections.
PLA CF (Carbon Fiber) is harder and more durable. Has rougher feel to it.
